Film Starts Here (FiSH) is an independent film production company based in San Bernardino, CA. It was founded by Dave Rosas in 2015.

Dave Rosas is an award-winning writer, director, and editor from San Bernardino, CA. After graduating from CSU, San Bernardino in 2020, he wrote and directed his first short film, DOGMA (2024), which starred his own dog. The film won Best Narrative at Hidden City Film Festival in Escondido, CA.

With his sophomore film, RIGHT ON! (2025), Dave tackled the subject of writer's block through a unique and stylized lens. The film swept the Inland Film Festival in San Bernardino, CA, taking home Best of Fest, Best Live-Action Fiction, and Audience Choice before going on to win the Audience Award at Highland Park Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles and Best Editing at both Oceanside Intl Film Festival and San Diego Short Film Festival.

As an enthusiast of all films, Dave does not restrict himself to any one genre or style, instead choosing to focus on stories that inspire people to reflect on their own values and ideals.
